The Little Things

There is a cause and effect in every situation in life. A person who eats garbage all their life and becomes overweight, will say that it's their body and they will do what they want with it. One thing that they don't think about is that it will effect the way that other people view them. It isn't merely a look of disgust from pedestrians that will effect them. As an employer in this economy, when hiring an applicant I want to bring aboard someone who is proficient and low maintenance. Saving money is the name of the game. If I have two equally qualified applicants and one of them is obese while the other isn't, I am going to go with the one who theoretically will have less health issues. Most people wouldn't have that issue cross their mind as they down the box of donuts while watching The Biggest Loser. If the world trend becomes proficiency, high technology with little waste as it seems to be, the larger people with indeed be, the biggest losers.

Oh Michael

What do you say when someone does what they have always done, but on a larger scale? Michael promised a class of third graders that he would pay there college tuition when they graduate high school. Many of them did graduate which was a huge problem for Michael considering he has no money. So Michael shows up to the class and offers the students free laptop batteries, which wasn't a suprise to me because it merely showed that he was being his normal self. Someone once said, "Insanity is doing the same thing, and expecting different results." It's insane to think that Michael would have done better.
